I have been painting for years and out of the blue one night I awoke with bee poems running through my head, so I got out my pen and paper and I wrote them down. This is something I would never have done, but I must have been inspired to do so. Well in the days that followed I came up with twelve or so and connected them to my paintings and that is how I came to have a childrens book. I submitted it to lots of publishers, to no avail, so I decided to self publish it myself. Belvedere House Gardens and Park launched the book for me last May 2009 and I have to say I am very pleased with the way it has taken off. It is very difficult to distribute a self published book, but I have done a little bit. The libraries were very good and lots of them have taken it. I have also read it in lots of libraries over the year.
